The Boxford Dems will take part in the Tri-Town Pride Parade on Sunday, June 2nd, in Topsfield, marching under the banner of “Tri-Town Democrats”. The 0.8 mile parade starts at 1:00 p.m. and can be viewed from Grove Street and Main Street in Topsfield Center.

Pride parades serve as a platform for advocacy and activism. They are an opportunity to celebrate and embrace your own LGBTQ+ identity or to show support for your friends, family and community members. Pride month is a time to honor the progress that has been made in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights and to acknowledge the diversity and resilience of the community.

By walking in a pride parade, you help increase visibility for the LGBTQ+ community. This visibility can raise awareness about the challenges and discrimination that LGBTQ+ individuals face, fostering understanding and empathy among the general public. It sends a powerful message of solidarity and inclusivity. Remember that Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are hallmarks of the Democratic Party.
