BoxfordDems is partnering with Community Giving Tree to help combat diaper insecurity.  

Did you know?

• Diaper insecurity is defined as the lack of sufficient supply of diapers to keep a child clean, dry, and healthy

• Nearly 1 in 2 families in the U.S. struggles to afford diapers

• The percentage of families struggling to meet this basic need has risen sharply since the pandemic

• More than one-quarter of families with diaper insecurity have skipped meals so that they could buy diapers 

• Among households facing diaper insecurity, 30% define themselves as middle-income

• In Essex County alone, the amount of insecurity among low-to-moderate income families with young children equates to 7.7 million diapers per year

We will hold our next diaper-drive drop-off at the Tri-Town Pride on Topsfield Common on June 7, 1-4 p.m..
