Talking about voter registration, we’re making progress — but in small increments. As of today, we have more voters registered as Democrats, decline in Republicans We’ve gained 17 registered active Democratic voters and now total 959, while the Republicans lost 3 bringing them down to 865.

By the looks of it, Connor will have a Republican challenger in the General Election on Nov. 3.

The challenger is currently peppering Andover with signs encouraging Republicans to write in his name in the upcoming primary election so that he’ll qualify to have his name on the General Election ballot. The details are murky, but it appears that, even as he submitted signatures in the spring, he ran into issues relating to having the submitted signatures certified.

While the challenger has been lying low and thus avoided having to lay out his case properly as to why he might deserve a seat in the State House, Connor has been criss-crossing the district, holding regular office hours, and canvassed hundreds of streets and knocked on thousands of doors, explained his policies and positions, and garnered endorsements from multiple unions and local and national public interest organizations.

It is critical that we come out in force to support Connor’s. So, please - especially if you reside in a high-traffic/high-visibility location — help Connor along by creating more awareness and donate to his campaign.

You can order a sign from us, the BoxfordDems, or directly from Connor’s campaign.
