Food Drive
for Neighbors in Need

Each day more and more people in Boxford and our neighboring towns are finding that they do not have food to feed their families. With so many tribulations facing our country, there is one thing that we can do to help right away: provide food for our neighbors.

We’re collecting food donations for Neighbors in Need (NIN) that will help someone directly who might otherwise go hungry. NIN prioritizes nutritious foods and works hard to ensure that the food they distribute forms part of a balanced meal and helps improve the health of the families they serve. Last year NIN distributed more than 1 million pounds of donated food.

We, the Boxford Democrats, are in the process of establishing drop-off locations for your donations and will transport them to NIN in Lawrence.

Our next collection will be on Thursday, December 11, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 81A Georgetown Rd in Boxford. If you can't make it then, email Deborah at fooddrive@boxforddems.org and we will work something out.

After that, we will host a collection at the entrance of Masco on the night of the Special Town Meeting (MBTA) on December 17 (more details to come).
